Uninstalling Windows fontsIf a font needs to be deleted, it may be manually deleted by following the steps in these methods.CONTROL PANEL METHOD Click Windows Key and X key together. Click 'Appearance and Personalization Click 'Fonts'(the list of all installed fonts appears). Right-click on the font to be removed. Press 'Delete'. If the font is still displayed in the list, click the Refresh icon against the navigation field. REGEDIT METHOD If the font failed to be deleted and/or an error message appears, use the second method shown here for Windows 8. Earlier versions of Windows also have RegEdit. When removing the Registry Key be warned, you break the Registry you break PC, you are to blame no one else. So please be careful and ONLY delete the necessary font(s). Press"Windows Key" Type: Regedit (to find the program) Launch the program from the results pane. The Registry Editor appears. Use the left list to locate fonts at the end of one of the following HKEYs. For Windows 64 bit: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\ SOFTWARE\ Wow6432Node\ Microsoft\ Windows NT\ CurrentVersion\ Fonts For Windows 32 bit: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\ SOFTWARE\ Microsoft\ Windows NT\ CurrentVersion\ Fonts Select the fonts for removal on the right hand side. Right-click Press "Delete" This removes the Registry entry for the font and it will be gone. |
